Building on its momentum from 2022, HBK has launched into 2023 announcing its merger with boutique communications agency and design studio Commotion | Stokes Street Studio.

The merger brings with it experience and expertise across highly successful projects for the Victorian Government, Australian International Beer Awards, Glaucoma Australia, MAB, Royal Melbourne Show, Racing Queensland and many more.

Previously located in Port Melbourne and headed up by founders Stuart Laverie and Mandy Hampson, the merger has seen Stuart Laverie join the HBK creative team as senior copywriter, with Mandy Hampson on board as a creative strategy consultant.

Says Sheridan Devereux, general manager, HBK: “Connection is the foundation on which HBK is built: we connect advertising with digital marketing, strategy with real-time measurement and reporting, tech business solutions with creativity, and most critically we connect with our clients to connect them with their audiences – and with results.

“This exciting new connection with Commotion | Stokes Street Studio further enhances our already rich offering to clients. We’ve already had the opportunity of working with some of our new client partners and look forward to collaborating further together.”
