Guy Venables to judge Craft at Adstars 2011

Sydney-based Look executive producer Guy Venables returns to Korea this year to Chair the Craft Jury at Adstars 2011 and judge on the Young Stars jury, one of only two judges from Australia.

Last year Venables was selected as inaugural Jury President of Craft at Adstars. Says Venables: “After having put together the Print Craft category chairing for Adfest in 06 it was a great honour to be inaugural Craft President at Adstars. It’s a global festival and this year there are over 7000 entries from 46 countries,

“It is great seeing work from outside the Asia Pac region and from countries that one does not see much work from normally,” says Venables, who is now living full time in Sydney and enjoying working on projects with photographers, directors and ad agencies for local and international business.

This year’s Ad Stars Festival will be held from August 25 to 27 for three days at Busan Haewoondae Grand Hotel and the Heawoondae area of Busan in Korea.

Advertising industry maestro Neil French (left) is the chair of the jury. Also a number of world-renowned creative directors will be invited as judges.

Ad Stars 2011 is the world’s first convergence advertising festival that integrates online and offline participation based on an online system that allows entries anytime from anywhere and operates an open platform in which advertising professionals can share information. In addition, via social media and smartphone applications, it opens participation to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
