GPJ Australia bolsters senior leadership team with raft of new appointments and promotions

Experiential agency GPJ Australia has strengthened its senior leadership team with two new appointments and three promotions. Underscoring GPJ’s commitment to diversity and gender equality, the new appointments mean women now hold five of nine senior leadership team roles.

Newly created leadership roles see Carrie Arnold appointed director of integrated production and Kim Gerard as head of event production.

The three internal promotions see Jess Quiney become head of strategy; Jacquelyn Cowardin resuming responsibilities of head of audience acquisition but being promoted to the senior leadership team and Corey Hoskin moves to become people and culture manager.

Says Caleb Bush, senior vice president and managing director, GPJ Australia: “The breadth, depth and diversity of leadership, experiential and people knowledge that these appointments bring are an ideal fit for GPJ. I’m pleased to welcome our new leadership team members to GPJ, and proud to be able to recognise our existing leadership talent with three internal promotions.”

As director of integrated production, Carrie will oversee GPJ’s audience acquisition, registration and creative technology teams. She brings more than 18 years’ experience in strategic brand communications, product innovation, experience design and digital product development gained working with organisations including Burberry, Ford Motor Company, Nike and IBM.

Head of event production Kim will manage event production teams to ensure all events meet GPJ’s high standards of delivery. Kim has spent more than 23 years in the industry, leading and building teams and delivering large-scale events throughout Australia, USA and Asia Pacific region. The appointment marks a return to GPJ for Kim, who spent five years with the business as operations manager and producer until 2008.

The internal promotions see head of strategy Jess Quiney take responsibility for all strategy practices. Jess was recently named Strategic/Brand Planner of the Year at the Campaign Asia Awards. Head of audience acquisition Jacquelyn Cowardin will assume responsibility for measurement and impact across the agency. Her focus is to help drive better client-centric outcomes regarding experiential measurement. People and culture manager Corey Hoskin will oversee GPJ’s highly regarded and growing talent pool. GPJ is committed to fostering a collaborative and world-class culture.
