German director Astrid Salomon joins The Pound

German director Astrid Salomon has joined The Pound for commercial representation.

Salomon combines a graphic eastern European sensibility with a sensuous style befitting her time, which is divided between Berlin and Australia.

Salomon grew up in the eastern part of Germany studying photography. She successfully established herself as a fashion photographer in Europe.

Now Salomon has shot international campaigns for clients like: Haagen Daas, Nivea, Closed, Goldpfeil, Head & Shoulders and Montblanc translating her photographic style into her film work.

Says Fiona McGregor, executive producer: “It’s great to have another female director in Melbourne and a first on The Pound’s roster. I’m sure her unique visual style and commitment will be met with great enthusiasm in the Australasian market.”
