Genero hires Christie Poulos as client director; Daria Willis joins in creative strategist role

Homegrown start-up Genero has bolstered its Australian team with two new hires based in Sydney.

 

Christie Poulos (pictured above) has joined the team as client director – AU/NZ. Poulos is a veteran video and content marketing specialist who previously held roles at Red Bull, where she was head of content (video) in the UK, and on the global teams at Red Bull Stratos and King Content where she was global creative services director working on clients including Bupa, AMP, LinkedIn and Lenovo.

Daria Willis has been recruited as the business’ first creative strategist (AU/NZ), bringing over nine years of creative and media strategy experience across top tier publishers and agencies.

Most recently, she helped BuzzFeed make its mark in the Australian market helping big name brands like Tourism Australia, Coke, Pepsi, Google and Roadshow with audience-first content and distribution strategies. She also brings experience across creative and branding agencies including Leo Burnett Sydney and Proximity, TMW and WHAM (Hutchinson Whampoa) in London.

The two will work closely with MD Harry Preston (below) in growing the Genero offering in Australia and New Zealand. This year has seen continued work with brands including Tourism New Zealand, Unilever, Pernod Ricard, Biesdorf, Marley Spoon, Koala and IAG as well as providing on-going video production solutions to Facebook and Google clients through their partner initiatives.
