French fashion house Pierre Cardin launches Australian Summer 14-15 menswear campaign
Pierre Cardin, the renowned innovative French fashion house has launched its Australian Summer 14-15 menswear campaign.
Shot by Australian photographer Byron Spencer and styled by James Dykes, the campaign features emerging face Hugh Vidler in a series of modern, vibrant and directional stills that play on architectural line composition and bold pops of colour.
Designed to highlight the statement colours of the new Summer collection, the campaign has been constructed using a series of juxtaposing stills that feature strong poses against pastel backgrounds and clean lines. The contrast between tailored ensembles and futuristic styling reinforces the aesthetic of Pierre Cardin. The suiting and shirting collection offers consumers an array of super slim fitting styles that are modern and affordable.
Pierre Cardin has identified a strong trend with the Australian males’ acceptance of colour and detail in suiting and in direct response to this demand; colour is the focus of the Summer collection.
The Pierre Cardin wool-blend suiting collection has expanded to include hues of burgundy, steel blue and lucent grey. Correspondingly, shirting features a range of pastel shirts with contrasting collar and cuff details on the inside, available in shades of aqua blue, salmon and soft pink.

Deepest apologies for missing the point but just loving the irony of the mention of an “emerging face” who has his face obscured in four of the five photos accompanying this article.
This is so unintentionally hilarious, it’s not funny.
any time i worry that my job is pointless and i’m wasting my life, i just look at this sort of thing and feel relieved – i could be working in fashion and my life could be even more useless.
