Foxtel counts down to the Winter Olympics
Foxtel, via Ink Project, Sydney, has launched its campaign for theVancouver Olympic Winter Games, the most complex project undertaken bySheepish Lion’s production team to date. The concept called for an epicjourney over the Vancouver’s landscape featuring 8 key winter sports.
The process started in Feb 2009 involving an extensive shoot forlocation aerials. This was followed by a carefully planned studio shootthat captured the dynamic actions performed by elite athletes and stuntpersons. Then came the lengthy collaborative process involving digitaldoubles, 3D tracking, animation, continuous editing refinement andfinally a tone of passion to achieve the final result.
Says producer James Shulz from Sheepish Lion: “Much respect tothe creative team at Ink Project equally matched by the digital talentsand craft from the people of Cutting Edge, Sydney.”

Craftwise nothing to make me sit up and take notice, far too 3D
Ideawise…. what idea?
Methinks they got the idea from a recent Calvin & Hobbes cartoon.
where’s Michael Bublé?
Dont mind the idea. Its simple and to the point.
Some of the 3D looks a bit like 3D but thats usually the case unless you spend a ridiculous amount of cash. This is a TV station I doubt they had that mush money – so all in all: Good work.
seen it all before
