Former Furnace Sydney copywriter Kenn MacRae directs US feature ‘Missing William’
Most recently employed in Australian advertising as senior writer at The Furnace, Sydney, Kenn MacRae has just wrapped principal photography in Rhode Island, U.S., on the indie feature Missing William.
Starring Brandon Routh (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Superman Returns), Courtney Ford (Dexter), Reid Scott (The Big C) and Spencer Grammer (Descent), the film’s billed as a drama in which old love and new love collide when a tragic accident brings a woman’s childhood sweetheart back into her life.
MacRae switched to directing when he co-wrote and helmed his firstfeature, The View from Greenhaven, with brother Simon, after they wonreality TV series Project Greenlight Australia.
The pair continued to work together on a series of commercials forAustralian agencies and clients including Toyota, Mother, and Lamb forMeat and Livestock Australia, before Kenn MacRae moved to Los Angeles topursue further film and commercial opportunities, where he’s repped byRabbit Content.
