FG Entertainment director Ariel Martin makes his mark at Young Directors Awards in Cannes
Ariel Martin, director at Filmgraphics Entertainment won a joint second prize for the Non European short films section at the Young Directors Awards in Cannes this year, with his Adfest ‘Fabulous Four’ entry ‘Future Shooter’.
The film sees a door-to-door salesman trying to push the latest in modern technology “The Future Shooter” onto a poor unsuspecting housewife. “The Future Shooter” is an instrument used to “fast forward the boring bits, so you can enjoy the good bits”.
This is another great achievement for the young director, on top of being selected in the ‘Shoot Online’ New Directors showcase for 2012 where he is amongst the top 32 new directors from around the world.
After a hectic Cannes week, Martin is currently in the U.S attending a writer’s course. Upon his return he will be straight into another commercials job.
