Fantastic Furniture launches ‘When it feels like home, you feel like you’ TVCs via Connecting Plots
With the concept of ‘home’ being redefined in 2020, the latest Fantastic Furniture campaign via creative communications agency Connecting Plots, celebrates the role furniture plays in making people feel more comfortable at home.
The ads play off how COVID-19 restrictions have reshaped how people live and what makes them happy.
The Fantastic Furniture campaign will roll out across TV, digital, social, and OOH via a series of 23 vignette-style ads that spotlight a different fun and relatable slice of life as people become their most authentic selves at home. The executions range from kids enjoying too much tomato sauce at teatime, families falling asleep on the couch during the footy, to tradies enjoying a 2015 Barossa shiraz after knock-off.
Says Will Dance, head of marketing at Fantastic Furniture: “As we spend more time at home than ever before, this campaign celebrates the joy to be found in the chaos of our domestic lives. Fantastic Furniture pieces are the perfect stage for every Australian family, from the everyday mundane moments to the most memorable. Our range is stylish, practical and most importantly affordable, meaning it’s attainable for everyone to make their space authentically theirs.”
“It’s been great to see and have been part of Fantastic Furniture’s growth over the past few years,” Tom Phillips, Managing Director at Connecting Plots added. “This latest campaign is a fun response to Australians adjusting to the ‘new-normal’. Creating 23 separate ads that appeal to a range of households in an uplifting way clearly demonstrates what a consumer-centric business Fantastic Furniture is.”
Says Jacqui Hawkins, general manager of marketing at Fantastic Furniture: “Lockdown has inspired many to undertake home improvements this year so we’ve seen incredibly strong sales as consumers prioritise their domestic realm. For us, now is a critical opportunity to capitalise on our growth and invest in our brand. With over four years of fruitful collaboration, Connecting Plots has yet again proven to be a vital partner in bringing our creative vision to life and extending our brand story in new and exciting ways.”

these are somehow even less interesting than the furniture.
Credit for somehow selling in shitty nothingburger scripts like these.
great positioning
Seems like Infinity Squared and Connecting Plots are the same thing?
Unsure of the objective here. The product looks ugly or at best indistinguishable and these are neither charming nor funny.
Agree with confused, the furniture looks terrible, but not quite as bad as the idea or the acting.
Let me guess. You’re the ‘strategist’. Try harder.
‘When it feels like home, you feel like you’ is a good line. Could have done so much more with it. Executions needed to be pushed further. If budget was the concern then limit the amount of executions and do 1 or 2 better.
If these are the best of the 23 ads (you’d think they would be) One can only imagine how brutal the others are.
