Euro RSCG set to rebrand as Havas Worldwide
Havas has unveiled a new structure for the Havas Group, which includes the rebranding of Euro RSCG Worldwide as Havas Worldwide in September 2012.
The Havas Group will consist of Havas Media, which includes all of their global media agencies, and Havas Advertising, which includes the Euro RSCG network (rebranded as Havas Worldwide), Arnold Worldwide and all their other communications agencies.
They are also creating a new umbrella brand Havas Digital – that will operate across both media and creative – underscoring the fact that digital is at the core of their agencies and their strategy.
Says David Jones, CEO of Havas (pictured): “The aim of rebranding Euro RSCG Worldwide to Havas Worldwide is to reinforce Havas’s position as the most integrated of all the holding companies, underline the simplicity of Havas’s structure and increase visibility for our brand.
“Within the new structure, we will launch the Havas Digital umbrella brand as a commercial entity for digital across both Havas Advertising and Havas Media, but the teams and capabilities will remain integrated within their respective divisions consistent with our digital at the core strategy.”

Yep, that’ll fix the work.
Your agency’s own brand has so little value they are abandoning it. I am sure they can work the same magic on your brand.
Half-ass Advertising. Half-Ass Digital. Half-ass Media.
Havas a clue
Ah yes, those crazy couple of months before the new financial year in Europe where – having sat on their arses all year wondering what the fuck advertising is about these days – the top brass now have to do something, anything, to try and meet their ‘productivity’ targets for the year. New name? 100 Days of Change? Crazy Gang Steering Group(formed of representatives from all across the network). If they’re lucky, they’ll get away with it for another year. If they’re not, a load of people who actually do work quite hard will be selected at random and fired so the figures add up and performance bonuses are paid.
Keep slagging off the people who are trying to make it better. Obviously you would know that the people who are doing the work here in Australia have nothing to do with this decision. Hope you feel better about yourselves. Have a great weekend.
Does this mean the Furnace and Euro will merge?
I believe Nice hanky addressed your point in the final sentence of his post.
How come every Euro piece of news is never ever about ads? So far this year we’ve had group heads, rebranding, new look etc etc. Do they actually ever do any decent work this mob?
Nope. but they’re busily crafting case studies.
All gone PB shaped?
“….to reinforce Havas’s position … underline the simplicity of Havas’s structure …. increase visibility for our brand … capabilities will remain integrated … respective divisions consistent with our digital at the core strategy ….”
I’ve got some of my own: Buzzwords, marketing speak, bullsh*t, revolting.
