Following the Netflix international release of its debut feature film ONEFOUR: Against All Odds last year, global creative company Entropico has officially announced the formation of Entropico Originals, its originals arm, producing new film and television titles out of its Sydney and LA studios.

Says Erin Moy, founder and CCO, Entropico: “We’re excited to follow up the success of our feature debut and long history making innovative short form originals and branded content work with a slate of offbeat, energetic, and relevant originals.”

On the Originals team, Moy is joined by Christian Polsinelli in Los Angeles as Entropico’s head of alternative and experiential, and Timothy Burnett in Sydney as head of scripted.

Polsinelli brings over 14 years of television production experience to Entropico, having dedicated much of his career to producing acclaimed TV shows for major networks such as ABC, NBC, and Fox. His portfolio boasts hits like American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, World of Dance, America’s Got Talent and The X Factor. His inaugural project at Entropico Originals was Game On, a two-hour interactive livestream commissioned by YouTube. This groundbreaking event celebrated the vibrant gaming culture and its creators on the platform, captivating over 8 million viewers within a week and earning two prestigious Webbys last year.

Currently, Polsinelli leads the charge in developing unscripted shows and experiential projects at Entropico. His passion for television, coupled with a vision for the future of entertainment and emotive storytelling, drives his work.

Says Polsinelli: “There’s no greater power than creating a show that leaves a lasting impact,” he shares. “When you combine that with a compelling narrative from a unique perspective, it’s truly magical.”

Burnett moves across from Entropico’s branded content and creative production vertical to lead the development of new scripted series and features. Prior to joining Entropico seven years ago, Burnett worked on features in New York City with Bazmark’s Schuyler Weiss’ former production company Tandem Pictures.

Says Burnett: “Returning to this realm feels like a very organic evolution.”

Burnett has been developing several scripted projects for Entropico’s slate, including co-writing a feature with actor Luke Bracey (Warner Bros./Universal Pictures Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere).

Says Burnett: “At the heart of all the scripted projects we are working on, are stories that have an international appeal, have rich, diverse, and complex characters, and have a narrative angle to them that might feel slightly counter-intuitive.”

Says Polsinelli: “We’re living through a very exciting and pivotal time for entertainment media right now. And the team at Entropico have the passion, creativity, and experience necessary to bring some really great material to an ever-evolving marketplace.”

ONEFOUR: Against All Odds is Entropico’s first feature-length release, follows nearly a decade of short-form releases in Australia and abroad, including 2018’s Blue Frame which found an art-obsessed audience at Hobart’s MONA, London’s Serpentine Cinema, and Berlin’s The Long Now; 2021’s By Lucas Wilson [Sydney Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival]; and 2022’s short documentary film Through the Fire, which won a Cannes Bronze Lion last year.  Notably, ONEFOUR: Against All Odds also soared to become the #2 Most Watched movie on Netflix, further cementing its cultural impact and popularity.

Among the properties currently in development and production at Entropico Originals, there’s a diverse lineup that includes a heartwarming animated kids series, a feature-length psychological serial killer thriller, a history-defining running documentary, a genre-defying competition series, and an exciting addition to the slate that is poised to captivate audiences and become a beloved standout in the realm of dating shows.
