Employment Hero launches bold new brand Swag via Twist and Dash Digital

Alongside branding partners Twist and Dash Digital, HR, payroll and employee engagement platform Employment Hero has announced the launch of its world-first global employment superapp Swag by Employment Hero.

Swag is the natural next stage in Employment Hero’s evolution as a company and is designed to make life easier for employers, employees and jobseekers alike.

On the employer side, Swag helps SMEs win the war for talent by offering a free jobs board, a corporate-level perks and benefits program, and an app that keeps candidates engaged and connected to the business. From a jobseeker and candidate perspective, Swag tackles the cost of living crisis by negotiating deals of up to 4.5 per cent off essentials like groceries, fuel and utilities, and giving consumers the ability to earn up to 20 per cent cashback on their purchases.

Debuting in the top five App Store business apps at launch, Swag introduces four core features: Work, Career, Money and Benefits, to seamlessly integrate the recruitment journey into a comprehensive employee experience that makes attracting, retaining and engaging talent easier for SMEs.

Aligned with Employment Hero’s core mission to make employment easier and more valuable for everyone, the tech unicorn engaged branding studio Twist and web development studio Dash Digital to help cultivate and showcase Swag; an extension to Employment Hero’s world-leading HR and payroll platform.

Employment Hero’s internal design studio and marketing team worked closely with Twist and Dash Digital to maintain consistency across brand, content, and digital outputs. In designing Swag, Employment Hero sought to create a brand that was bright, fun, and unique within the HR industry. At launch, Swag was rolled out to Employment Hero’s network of 1M+ employees across 200,000+ employers globally.

With Twist helping to lead the brand execution, Employment Hero has successfully created a new brand expression through Swag that is uplifting and engaging to SMEs, employees and jobseekers. The Swag name is an acronym for ‘Stuff We All Get’ — a goodie bag filled with perks and benefits to maximise the value of employment for all. It’s everything a person needs to manage their employment and pay, in one convenient place.

Says Johan Micheelsen, head of marketing for Swag at Employment Hero: “In creating Swag we wanted to design a mobile experience that made the employment lifecycle from start to finish a more uplifting experience for employers and jobseekers. The job market today is tough for both sides of the equation. Swag was tailored to reduce these pain points and make this a more engaging, fun, and easy process to work through.

“After the initial branding was ideated, we worked closely with Twist and Dash Digital to bring the vision of Swag to life and develop something distinctive. Swag is now the perfect extension of Employment Hero, aligning with the company’s already established branding and expertise to create a consumer-friendly way to find employment, streamline work admin, and manage their money in one place.”

Says Alex Dalmau, founder and creative director at Twist: “It’s been great to bring the Swag vision to life. As an exciting new expression of the Employment Hero masterbrand, Swag is proudly made for employees and candidates –it breathes vibrancy, energy and a distinct consumer-first identity into everything it touches. In creating Swag, we adopted a sense of fun, inclusivity and approachability as our guiding principles. The result is a brand that feels modern but accessible, blending work and professionalism with life and culture.”

Says Rogan Janson, founding partner and creative director at Dash Digital: “When we started building the Swag website, we knew we had to deliver an immersive, interactive and bold website design for today’s mobile first environment. After working closely with the Employment Hero team, the end result is a site that immediately catches your eye and draws you in. Rather than blending into a sea of similar SaaS website designs, Swag stands on its own and isn’t afraid to make a statement. It’s the perfect expression for a revolutionary product created to hero employees and jobseekers.”

Swag is available to download from both App Store and Google Play.
