Dentsu’s BWM Isobar snares Sarah McGregor from Communicado for Melbourne ECD role
Building steam off a number of pitch wins, dentsu has lured Sarah McGregor from the ECD role at Communicado to take the creative helm of Dentsu’s BWM Isobar Melbourne office
Celebrating over 20 years in Melbourne working at agencies such as Leo Burnett, Cummins&Partners and most recently at Communicado, as well as overseas at Karmarama in London, McGregor (above centre) brings a wealth of experience to the new position. Over her career, she has worked with some of the world’s best-loved brands including Honda, Bonds, Nintendo, Peters, 7-Eleven, Virgin, Emirates and Marriage Equality.
McGregor is a founding member of The Aunties, a mentoring and events program for women in the creative industries and in 2019, she was the winner of both Campaign and Creative of the Year at the B&T Women in Media Awards. Her work has also been recognised around the world at top tier creative shows including Cannes Lions, Clios and One Show, as well as effectiveness shows, including the Effies.
Says Marcus Tesoriero, dentsu ECD Australia and NZ (above): “This is such an exciting hire for the dentsu team. Sarah’s reputation and connection to the creative community will be a priceless advantage for our Melbourne office and wider ANZ offering. She’s an incredible brand builder so I can’t wait for the rubber to hit the road.”
Says McGregor: “I am thrilled to be reunited with Kirsty and can’t wait to start collaborating with Marcus and the incredible new team that has assembled at dentsu. The breadth of offerings under one roof here is truly exciting – it feels like the opportunities for brands and creativity are endless”
A builder of young talent, McGregor was Victorian Head of Award School for three years and now serves on the MADC Committee as Director of MADC Presents and on The RMIT Professional Advisory Committee.
Adds Kirsty Muddle (above left), dentsu Creative CEO Australia and NZ: “Sarah’s work is good for brands, good for business and good for society. Not only is she talented, but she uses those talents to build and develop people like never before. I’m looking forward to working with her again after her two years in a successful and growing independent agency.”
