Corey Swaffer appointed AADC’s new co-president as Paul Kitching’s two-year term ends
The Adelaide Advertising & Design Club (AADC) has appointed Corey Swaffer (right) as its new Co-President for 2026 and 2027, working alongside current Co-President Sarah Luthaus (left) as she moves into her second and final year in the role.
Swaffer is a highly respected and awarded Creative Director and writer with more than 25 years’ experience. After working across several Adelaide agencies – including a 15-year tenure at KWP, where he rose to ECD – he is now a sought-after freelance creative and mentor. He steps into the role following outgoing Co-President Paul Kitching (PK), whom the Club farewells with deep gratitude.
Reflecting on PK’s contribution, Luthaus says: “PK has been a remarkable President. His steady leadership, generosity with his time and genuine care for everyone in our community has shaped AADC in ways that will be felt for years to come. Under his guidance, the Club has strengthened its initiatives, become more accessible and expanded its community. He has led with heart, humility and an unwavering belief in the value of South Australian creativity.”
Marking the end of his tenure, Kitching (pictured below) says: “It’s been an incredible two years as Co-President, working first with the wise Nic Eldridge and then in the past year alongside the impressive Sarah Luthaus. I have learnt so much about myself, many others, our industry and beyond. My mission has always been to simply make AADC more inclusive and to raise its profile. I feel that together we are achieving this and more and can’t wait to see what Corey brings to the table!”
Now entering its 51st year, AADC continues to build on the momentum created through decades of industry leadership. With Luthaus and Swaffer at the helm, the Club says it is well-positioned for an exciting new chapter.
Speaking on his appointment, Swaffer says: “I’m looking forward to working with my Co-President Sarah and the committee to build on the great work that has been done over the Club’s 50-year history and ensure that the AADC continues to be relevant and add value for members. I want to bring my years of experience, perspective and passion for our creative industry to the role and add value everywhere I can.”
As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation, the AADC continues to be powered by the commitment of its committee members – both seasoned leaders and emerging talent – who dedicate their time to shaping the future of South Australia’s creative community. The Club thanks all committee members from the past year for their invaluable contributions and ongoing dedication.
