Connoisseur launches new ‘Thrill Your Senses’ brand campaign via SICKDOGWOLFMAN
Connoisseur, the gold standard in gourmet ice cream in Australia, has launched a new campaign developed by Melbourne independent SICKDOGWOLFMAN, which was appointed agency partner in 2023.
Led by a series of films directed by Exit Films’ Jason Evans, with post and music by Heckler, the campaign marks Connoisseur’s latest major expression of its ‘Thrill Your Senses’ platform.
The campaign taps into the activation of the senses and their ability to form and rekindle memories, transporting viewers back to another place, in another time, as if they were still there in that moment.

Says James Orr, creative director and co-founder, SICKDOGWOLFMAN: “We’re incredibly proud of how this campaign has come to life. Each part of it feels crafted and a beautiful articulation of Connoisseur through the power of sensory experiences. It’s a testament to everyone involved.”
The campaign will be supported on digital and social, as well as a series of OOH executions shot by The Pool Collective’s Saskia Wilson.
Says Tara Cook, marketing manager, Connoisseur: “We’re thrilled to launch our new ‘Thrill Your Senses’ Connoisseur masterbrand campaign. Our main goal with this campaign is to reinforce Connoisseur’s position as the premium ice cream brand, not just within the category, but across the entire FMCG landscape. Together with SICKDOG we set out create an ad that feels thrilling, aspirational, and emotional while maintaining a youthful, and inclusive vibe that resonates with everyone. We could not be prouder of the finished product and can’t wait for it to be out in the world.”

Make the logo bigger and the idea smaller. Thanks.
Vanilla my favourite
The craft!
This is exceptionally put together. Nice Exit, POOL, sdwm.
If I ate that much I’ve cream I wouldn’t look like she does!
Does make me want one. Although the wrapper pull off on ice cream ads always makes me chuckle. Who opens them like that!
It is an ad
very average. Even for the category, which is tough.
Lovely craft + there’s ice cream.
more bland than vanilla? Milk? This is milk-favoured.
Pretty standard.
Posting ‘talk the talk’ from an anonymous account. Campaign Brief is a beautiful place.
Like the headlines says on the new Magnum work…”stick to the original” – marketers are so poor these days. Looks nice. Total wallpaper.
Who eats icecream on a bender?
…and maybe this ad’s kinda real in some universe….but couldn’t we just see a dude, and/or dudess, walk into a service station, pull one from the fridge, return to their parked car and eat it while watching a movie on their phone resting on the dashboard?
Connoisseur is arguably the best premium range available at the major supermarkets, but this ad takes a match to all that. A concept completely divorced from reality, and a colour-by-numbers execution. A complete waste of time and money. And would someone please tell the model to stop nodding.
For an ice cream commercial.
Vanilla advertising selling vanilla ice cream.
Take the ice creams out of the shots and add a ZARA logo and nobody would notice the difference.
