Conal Wilson departs DDB Aotearoa for Art Director role at Daylight NZ

New Zealand technology and creative studio Daylight has announced the appointment of Conal Wilson as art director, further strengthening its growing creative department.

Wilson brings a wealth of experience to the role, having started his career with stints at Colenso BBDO and Shine before spending the last four years at DDB, working across both the Auckland and Sydney offices. During this time, he contributed to award-winning campaigns, honing his craft in both conceptual thinking and design execution.

Says Charlie Godinet, Executive Creative Director at Daylight: “I was lucky enough to meet Conal when he was just starting out, and five years on, his growth has been tremendous. A weapon of an art director, he’s both insightful and aesthetically driven. We feel really blessed he’s decided to call Daylight home.”

Wilson is equally excited about the move, saying: “I’m stoked to be joining the Daylight crew. I love the meaningful work they are now known for, and I’m excited to help them push that even further. They have a range of really great projects on the go right now, and I’m ready to get stuck in.”

In his new role, Wilson will be working across multiple high-profile projects for both global and local partners, further elevating Daylight’s creative output.
