Compare the Market launches new Meerkat Hoodie giveaway and campaign

Compare the Market has launched a new incentive for customers looking to secure a better health insurance deal, offering a limited-edition Meerkat hoodie featuring Oleg, one of the brand’s beloved mascots. The promotional campaign was developed by Compare The Market’s in-house marketing team.

 

The plush hoodie is available to eligible customers who purchase private hospital cover (bronze or above) through Compare the Market by 31 March 2025, or while stocks last. The offer comes as the next round of health insurance rate increases is set to take effect on 1 April. Customers who prepay 12 months’ worth of premiums before this date can lock in their current rate for the year, avoiding the impact of rising costs.

Compare the Market’s chief bosskat, Aleksandr Orlov, said looking for a better deal had never looked better: “I am envy of every sleepover, work from home in style, and wake up like royalty in my hooded blanket gown. Nothing could replace my most handsomest burgundy robe but this is close second favourite. Even Sergei is wanting one! Psst, he’ll have to get his own by comparing his own health insurance cover – this blanky ain’t big enough for the both of us.”

The exclusive merchandise will be sent to customers who maintain their eligible cover for at least 45 days and successfully claim their hoodie.

Compare the Market Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Holt said there were no excuses to sleep on savings when shopping around for a cheaper deal could be so simple: “We know that health insurance can be confusing but not comparing could end up costing you more.

“When the cost of just about everything is rising, we just can’t afford to let insurance bill hikes go through to the keeper this year.

“Looking for a better deal is so easy, you can do it on the couch, in front of the telly. Now you can compare to your heart’s content wrapped in a blanket as well.”
