Communications Council announces line-up for Circus – The Festival of Commercial Creativity 2011 – set for February 22-25 in Sydney
The Communications Council, Australia’s peak body for the marketing communications industry, today announced the speaker line-up for ‘Circus’ – The Festival of Commercial Creativity 2011.
‘Circus’ is set for February 22-25 in Sydney and will explore the latestdevelopments in the world of marketing while celebrating outstandingcommercial creativity.
Jose Cabaco – global brand creative director Nike Sportswear (pictured left), Rob Campbell – regional head of creative strategy W+K, Marvin Chow, marketing director Asia Pacific & Japan, Google, Jess Greenwood – director, Contagious Insider (pictured above), Josh Spear – leading US marketing strategist (pictured second from bottom), and Charles Wigley – chairman BBH Asia (pictured bottom), will be among the headliners.
Held at Sydney’s Carriageworks, the festival will incorporate the APG Battle of Big Thinking, where high profile speakers from advertising and marketing, business and government battle it out for the ‘biggest idea’, an international keynote program and Pencil Case segment showcasing the importance of creativity in campaign effectiveness. The final event will be the industry’s creative awards night, the AWARD Awards.
Google will also host an interactive showcase of YouTube content and the event will celebrate the industry’s up and coming talent at the SHOTS New Director Award.
“Despite this being our first year, the level of interest from speakers from around the world has been fantastic and we expect a range of diverse and thought provoking presentations, said Anthony Freedman, chairman of The Communications Council. “We have sought to develop a program relevant to a wide range of agencies and hope as many as possible will come and get involved.”
