Colorsteel raises the roof standard in newly launched campaign via DDB Group Aotearoa

DDB Group Aotearoa and Colorsteel have launched a playful campaign to raise the standard of how New Zealanders choose the roof over their heads. The spot was directed by Sydney-based director Stuart Bowen.

When it comes time to decide on a roof, it can often seem easier to leave the decision making up to the designers or builders.

To make Kiwi homeowners pickier about choosing their roofing products, DDB Group’s latest campaign showcases Colorsteel’s legacy of durability, innovation and ingenuity through the lens of some of the most selective personalities we know, the household cat.

Says Ben Pegler, creative director of DDB Group Aotearoa: “When you’re building a home, New Zealanders should have the confidence to demand a superior roof …one that even your pickiest household member would choose.”

Pegler says that by heroing the true rulers of the house, the family cat, it urges homeowners to be just as picky as their furry counterparts and actively engage in selecting a more superior roof – one that’s made for New Zealand conditions and a New Zealand way of life: “They wouldn’t settle for anything less than the best, so why should you?”

Suzanne McKandry, head of marketing at New Zealand Steel, says the campaign serves as reminder of why being selective about the roof materials over your head matters: “For over 40 years, Colorsteel has helped create the spaces and the places where life happens, where families are raised and where memories are made. This campaign with DDB Group urges homeowners be more particular about a choosing a superior roof – one that will last for generations to come.”

The ‘Colorsteel’ campaign is in market now, integrated across TV, print, digital and social media.
