cudo.pngThe concept for the TVC came from a desire to showcase the brand’s fun attitude and the range of experiences CUDO offers. 3D animation was chosen as the preferred style due to its vibrant energy and ability to communicate ideas without the need to be too literal.

As CUDO offers a variety of “fun stuff to do” the screen action illustrates examples from each of the various experiences that Cudo will offer and promote – Entertainment, in all its guises, is portrayed through a moment at the opera, dining through an encounter with a Teppanyaki chef, indulgence by way of a day spa, and adventure via group parachuting. Combined, these elements provide a snapshot of the fun activities available through CUDO.

To portray the involvement of Collective Power buying, the TVC wraps up with a festive bang as the ad’s characters come together and cause a skill tester to explode into a variety of sight and service icons.

The TVC launched on Sunday 5 September nationally on Channel 9. The creative and production was done by 9mm Channel 9 in house creative team

Its collaborative buying power model will see Cudo.com.au offer experiences such as

restaurant dining, day spas and adventure activities, for up to 80% less than the recommended retail price.

Billy Tucker, CEO, said Cudo.com.au and its parent organisations provide a unique

competitive advantage for the new site, giving it significant reach at launch thanks to

integration across the PBL Media network:

“In our first month of above the line communications we expect to reach over 10m

Australians through a combination of advertising, editorial integration and exposure on

ninemsn, as well as through other PBL Media properties including Channel 9, ACP, ninemsn and Ticketek.”

“This reach and the continued commitment we have from our partners puts us in an enviable position and at a competitive advantage when it comes to securing the best value and lowest price offers for our customers.”

“This is an exciting space to be in and we’re positive Cudo.com.au will change the way

Australians shop forever,” concluded Tucker.

Cudo.com.au launches with one national offer each week as well as daily offers in Sydney and Melbourne. Brisbane-based offers are set to start in October followed by a rollout of offers for other cities across Australia including key regional centres like the Gold Coast and Newcastle.
