Cloud-based VFX studio Atmos delivers remote visual effects for Vodafone and The ICONIC

Cloud-based VFX studio Atmos has kicked off the year with a series of high-profile collaborations, delivering seamless visual effects for Vodafone’s “Double Coverage” and The Iconic’s “Got You Looking” campaigns.

Expanding its mobile reach across Australia, Vodafone’s latest campaign – created by Thinkerbell and directed by Ariel Martin of Scoundrel – called for clever VFX to bring its message to life. Atmos provided fully remote post-production solutions, creating some select standout scenes using cutting-edge CGI that enhanced the brand’s energetic storytelling.

“It was a fun campaign to work on, and seeing everything come together was a treat,” says Atmos founder and VFX specialist Andreas Wanda. “I teamed up with executive producer Dave Kelly, and together with the production company, we explored creative CG techniques to make the spot as dynamic as possible – all set to Patrick Hernandez’s 1979 disco hit Born to Be Alive.”

Meanwhile, The Iconic’s “Got You Looking” campaign – developed by Dentsu Creative and directed by Natasha Foster of Good Oil Films – relied on striking visual effects to create intriguing, double-take moments. From a man with a butterfly beard to shoelace-shaped pasta twirling like spaghetti, the campaign brought fashion and imagination together in a surreal yet seamless way.

“Atmos is the best, so forget the rest!” says director Natasha Foster. “But seriously, working with Andreas is always a pleasure. Collaborative from the beginning and generous with his ideas and time makes for a smooth production.”

As a cloud-based studio, Atmos brings together a talented network of VFX artists worldwide, assembling bespoke teams for each project. Andreas Wanda, known for designing innovative production pipelines, recently built a fully cloud-based studio for the feature film “My Freaky Family”.

Furthering its commitment to flexible, cloud-based workflows, Atmos recently launched the Atmos Studios Launcher – a software tool that allows artists and studios to seamlessly integrate remote projects and pipeline tools.
