Climate communications charity Comms Declare is expanding its reach beyond the ad world to media and clients under a new brand and digital offering from two of its member agencies.

 

The rebrand from Paper Moose reignites Comms Declareʼs visual and verbal presence as it celebrates its fifth year advancing ethical, climate-conscious communications across Australiaʼs advertising, PR, and media sectors.

Founded as a call for agencies to pledge “no fossil fuel clientsˮ, Comms Declare has evolved into the industryʼs fiercest advocate for responsible and ethical practice. Its new identity captures that evolution, strengthening brand foundations and injecting a refreshed, energised tone of voice to spark action across the sector.

Says Kenn Huang, Head of Design, Paper Moose: “Itʼs inspiring to work with a brand so dedicated to positive change. Drawing on Mondrian, I aimed for a clean, essential design. The ‘dʼ uses negative space as a nod to nature and our region. Some see a baby kiwi, echidna, or leaf. The lowercase form keeps the logo honest, inclusive, and approachable, just like the brand.ˮ

Paper Moose worked with Comms Declare to define the brandʼs purpose, mission, values, and proposition, then distilled the organisationʼs voice into a clear, passionate, and optimistic tone. The creative pillars and messaging were developed in close collaboration, with a focus on simplicity and inclusivity.

Silver Lining – another B Corp agency – created the Clean Directory for Comms Declareʼs new website, making it simple for businesses to find partners committed to fossil fuel-free supply chains. Designed for extreme ease of use, the tool shortens the distance between organisations and their climate values, accelerating the creation of more ethical networks.
