Four teams of two will work on the live brief for Caxton Cadets 2012 partner Lion.

Teams will be drawn from the industry’s brightest talent, providing an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and to participate in one of the country’s leading creative seminars.

Says Justin Drape, Caxton Committee chairman: “There’s a good brief for the Caxton Cadets competition again this year and it’s a rare opportunity for young teams to work with Lion. They are one of the bravest marketing groups in the country.

The challenge of a live creative competition gives young teams a chance to show off their thinking and ingenuity, while also being able to attend all of the Caxton seminars and hear from a line-up of inspiring speakers. We’re very pleased to welcome Lion back for a second year as our Caxton Cadets partner.

Says Matt Tapper, marketing director – Lion Beer, Wine & Spirits: “We are once again very excited to be involved with this fantastic initiative. Fostering creativity is part of our culture at Lion, and to be able to support young talent is always an opportunity we can’t refuse”.

Teams will present at the Caxtons to an esteemed panel of judges and the winning team will be awarded on the night of the Caxton Awards.

The competing teams for Caxton Cadets will be hand-selected by the Caxton Committee in consultation with agency heads and announced soon.

The 2012 Caxton Seminar and Awards will be held from Friday to Sunday, October 12th to 14th, at Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays.
