CADBURY GOES NUTS WITH LATEST TVC
The Furnace, Melbourne has put to air a new spot for Cadbury Schweppes’ Boost Totally Nuts bar. Directed by Michael Duignan of Prodigy, the spot depicts the super cool hero character driving through a ‘slightly twisted’ forest in a delivery truck packed with new Boost Totally Nuts bars when he is pursued by a pack of nut-crazed squirrels after his cargo.
“It’s got everything I like – action, comedy and a bunch of people in squirrel suits insanely running after a
delivery truck”, say director Michael Duignan.

Please can we all agree to make this terrible ad the last one in the genre featuring people in animal suits. It’s been done. Move on.
It’s got everything I don’t like – no action, no comedy and no idea. What a wasted op’.
I thought it was an ad for Drumstick.
Boost – No boring bits.
crap
No nuts where used fighting to get a good idea out.
Cool.
I liked watching it.
Stop it, stop it everyone.
Monty?
Yes or NO?
IF ITS OK WITH MONTY ITS OK WITH ME.
squirell shit
I enjoyed it…
Certainly better than most things on TV, and for me, better than the last boost spot whilst still keeping the campaign rolling.
it’s kinda interesting. I wish it had felt more a scene from 28 week later when the zombies are chasing Robert Carlyle. Slightly more menacing. it tried to get there but didn’t.
but i suppose it is cadbury’s.
I liked watching this one better nut case!

coooool
OK people, move on. Nothing to see here…
Squirrels and their love of nuts have been done before many times. Think harder guys.
Think it’s good. People will stop and watch this.
Is anyone else mourning the demise of the funny scotsman tossing the Boost bar, that used to be the tail on all Boost ads? I miss that irrelevant guy. Sniff!
It ain’t going to win an Oscar for best screenplay, but it was a fun 30 seconds that’ll probably help kids remember the name when they’re at 7/11 buying cigarettes, so it’s done its job.
Kind of poor timing this came out at the same time as that ice-cream one. Drumstick or Cornetto, I don’t know which one they’re all the same.
The squirrel one.
Another example of the huge gap between ‘ad funny’ and ‘funny’. This is just rubbish.
The squirrel/nut thing is kinda done now. That said, full points for trying. Better than most shit out there.

Like the way you put it: “the huge gap between ‘ad funny’ and ‘funny’.”
Can I use it?
Proof that there’s an even bigger gap between ‘pathetic’ and ‘ad funny’
hehehe I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of people asking for Monty’s opinion now…
Monty, please stop all this pain.
it has all the cues of a well made ad – congrats to the director, the idea itself is shithouse.
Nicely directed I agree.
Never mind a ‘second opinion’….this should have been culled with CDs first opinion. Crap.
What a bunch of loosers that dont like this add. Obviously you have no idea what comedy is about. Go back to watching paint dry.
Hey everyone i want to know if you can’t see the fun in a pack of random squirrels running for a nut bar – because that ‘s what they do- collect nuts- then i have no idea what sort of sense of humour you have!
