BYRDLI and Visit Greater Palm Springs launch ‘The Edit’ with Australian creator Will Salkeld
There’s a rhythm to Palm Springs, found in its light, its lines, and its effortless sense of style.
Now, that rhythm takes centre stage.
BYRDLI, the global platform powering creator-led travel commerce, has launched a new partnership with Visit Greater Palm Springs to bring that story to life, powering Australian creator Will Salkeld (@wilkeld) as he captures the desert’s modern energy through design, wellness, and culture.
While the campaign draws inspiration from the iconic aesthetics of Palm Springs, The Edit will showcase the entire Greater Palm Springs region, from the vast landscapes of Joshua Tree to the heart of the Coachella Valley.
It’s a destination defined by its contrasts, art and adventure, serenity and story, a place layered with history, modernism, and moments that continue to inspire travellers from around the world.
Shot across November, The Edit: Palm Springs is less about escape and more about immersion, where storytelling meets curation, and every experience can be booked in real time through Will’s BYRDLI Travel Club.
“This is where architecture becomes emotion, and light becomes the language,” says Vanessa Richards, Co-Founder of BYRDLI.
“Greater Palm Springs carries a creative identity that’s unmistakable – modernist lines, desert quiet, and a cultural pulse that’s always been ahead of its time. Through Will’s lens, we’re not just presenting a place, we’re revealing an atmosphere travellers can now step into and book.”
A New Way to Experience Palm Springs
The Edit was developed around the region’s defining pillars, wellness, outdoor adventure, arts and culture, and culinary design, brought together through a distinctly modern aesthetic. It’s a campaign that celebrates the city’s iconic architecture and golden light while inviting travellers to explore its evolving creative scene.
From architectural enclaves to desert drives, spa sanctuaries to local art trails, the campaign highlights the diversity of experiences that make up Greater Palm Springs, a collective of nine cities each with its own voice, history, and story to tell.
Will Salkeld (pictured below), known for his minimalist compositions, detailed itineraries and cinematic approach to travel photography, will translate those elements into bookable experiences inside his BYRDLI Travel Club.
Each stay, meal, and moment will link directly to Salkeld’s very own Palm Springs travel products making the art of travel a seamless act of discovery and booking.
“Our destination has always inspired creativity through design and emotion,” says Gary Orfield, Director of Tourism Development at Visit Greater Palm Springs.
“Partnering with BYRDLI allows us to tell that story through a modern lens, creator-led, experience-driven, and globally relevant. Will’s perspective perfectly complements the energy and sophistication that define Greater Palm Springs.”
Turning Culture Into Commerce
Behind the campaign sits BYRDLI’s creator-commerce technology, a model that transforms storytelling into measurable tourism results.
Creators on BYRDLI build their own travel storefronts called Travel Clubs where they curate destinations, hotels, and experiences for their audiences to book directly.
They’re also connected with BYRDLI’s expert travel agents, the BYRDLI Concierge, who support them in building and selling their own custom travel packages.
For destinations and hotels, it’s a new distribution layer. For creators, it’s a business model built on authenticity, service, and trust.
This collaboration with Visit Greater Palm Springs continues BYRDLI’s global expansion and its work with leading tourism organisations worldwide, connecting destinations with travellers through trust, creativity, and culture.
Adds Richards: “We’ve always believed that the most powerful travel stories aren’t made in boardrooms. They’re made in the moments between, by people who truly live them. That’s the magic of this partnership, it’s real culture driving real visitation.”
