By All Means appoints former McCann managing director Georgie Pownall to managing partner
Independent creative agency, By All Means, has today welcomed Georgie Pownall (former Publicis Melbourne GM and McCann Melbourne MD) as managing partner.
Pownall joins after two years as managing director at Communicado, during which time the agency had wins that included Danone, Gordon Legal, Nourished Life, Terragen Biotech, Tassal and Mt Elephant, and grew from 19 to 32 people.
Over the course of her career, Pownall has worked at leading agencies Publicis, DDB, CHEP and Cummins&Partners on clients that include: nab, Mattel, L’Oreal, Bulla Dairy, Tourism WA, Target, Bupa, Bakers Delight, Michelin, NBL, GSK, Tigerair, CGU, WorkSafe, University of Melbourne, Victoria Police, Parks Victoria, PZ Cussons, Heinz, Danone and Nourished Life. As well as experience client-side at Mattel.
Pownall has played an integral role in a range of highly effective and awarded campaigns and projects such as Victoria Police’s mission to tackle police suicide, launching the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Fine Arts under the statue of David in Florence, and developing Bulla’s iconic Unfakeable campaign.
In the new role, Pownall brings her management and strategic skills to work on continuing the growth of By All Means.

Established in 2014, By All Means is an independent creative agency working with client partners that include RACV, Lifestyle Communities, REA Group, Fiverr, Bridge Road Brewers, Bubba Pizza, Clarks, as well as recent win My Plan Manager. After seven years in Collingwood the agency has recently moved its Melbourne headquarters into the heart of the city on Little Bourke Street.

The headline says ‘appoints’ but it’s a great snare! Can’t wait to see what magic you guys create together.
I remember the first time I met Georgie at the MADC Awards Night in 2000. I knew back then that she was something special. I am so proud of everything she has accomplished and know she will continue to do amazing things with BAM.
