Brother & Co says it’s good to have a brother in newly launched self-promotional campaign
In an unusual move the agency has taken its own advice and invested in a brand campaign to promote its services and point of difference.
The integrated campaign is rolling out across Brisbane in a range of channels including outdoor, digital, activation and direct marketing.
Says Kurt Viertel, co-founder and managing director, Brother & Co: “Two observations came together to inspire the campaign. Our clients often remark how reassuring it is to know Brother has their back. By contrast, prospective clients that happen upon us often quip that with our approach they are surprised they hadn’t heard of us. Clearly, by obsessing about our clients’ business we had inadvertently overlooked our own profile.”
Aptly titled, ‘It’s good to have a brother’, the campaign shows the meaningful role a brother plays while helping navigate any challenge.
Says Piet Human, co-founder and executive creative director, Brother & Co: “Like any service business, half of the competitive difference is realised during the experience, communicating this difference is never easy, especially for creative agencies. Out of all of our ideas we felt this simple metaphor, best captured our story.”
Award-winning photographer Damien Bredberg photographed a brother and sister as the hero talent, adding to the authenticity.
The space scene was shot over one day and explores the theme of protection. In the image, the brother shields his younger sister from falling space debris. This artwork is the first of three installments in the series between a brother and sister navigating surreal environments together.
