Brisbane agency nextThursday enters administration

Brisbane-based full-service creative agency nextThursday has entered administration, according to corporate filings with ASIC.
Accountancy firm Grant Thornton has been appointed as the liquidator for the agency. While a formal report to creditors has yet to be completed, it has been confirmed that four staff members are affected.
nextThursday joins a growing list of Queensland creative businesses facing financial difficulties. In July post-production company Cutting Edge shut its doors after 35 years, while earlier Khemistry was caught up in the collapse of GrowthOps before later restructuring and returning to the market.
Founded in 2011 by Dan Adler, nextThursday offered a full range of creative services spanning branding and advertising across digital and traditional channels. The agency’s name reflected its focus on agility and responsiveness in a rapidly changing marketing environment, signalling the fast pace at which consumer trends and brand strategies evolve.
