Brilliant news: Diebel and McLeod added to roster

Award winning director Eden Diebel and talented producer Ashley McLeod has joined Sydney production company Brilliant Films.

With a range of accolades under his belt including being heralded by Campaign Magazine as one of the best 10 top new Directors in the world (1998), winner of a Bronze Lion at Cannes (1999), a nomination by Shoot Magazine as one of the top 20 Directors in the world (2001) and walking away with two Gold Lions at Cannes 2005, Diebel’s welcome to the company is openly embraced.

“Eden is one of those talents that I have had my eye on for many years,” says executive producer Stephanie Ceccaldi. “I am very privileged and proud to have both Eden and Ashley join the team, we’re definitely excited to witness their creations as a duo.”

McLeod, widely recognized for his location management company, Sach Australia; and Diebel’s working relationship dates back 14 years. “There is definitely an un-disputable synergy between the pair,” says Ceccaldi.

“My appointment at Brilliant feels almost like I’ve come home. The capacity in which Eden and I will be working is more like a natural progression or evolution of our partnership,” says McLeod.

Adds Diebel: “I’m a happy chappy to be united with Steph at Brilliant. Anyone who knows her will agree she’s got the ‘can do’ attitude our challenging business needs right now. There’s a resurgence of good performance driven commercials at the moment so the timing could not be better. My brand new producer Ash is also going to bring some fresh legs to the table – four of them.”
