Black T-Shirts goes deep with advertising legend Alex Bogusky in latest podcast episode

In the latest episode of Black T-Shirts Adam Ferrier and Brent Smart interview advertising legend Alex Bogusky.
The chat covers a lot of ground with the creative icon, Bogusky brought us a Subservient Chicken, made people freakout over Whoppers and led Crispin Porter Bogusky to Cannes Grand Prix in 5 different categories and Agency of the Decade in 2010. However, that was then, now he is retired from the ad business, a “recovering ad man” in venture capital who has found happiness in mindfulness over money.
Please listen to the episode responsibly as there are a number of truths that could only be shared from someone who has left the industry.
Bogusky shares his views on the ego, and why he’s ‘out of advertising’ (spoiler alert awards and money are nowhere near as rewarding as he thought they would be) and how he has embraced his new found energy for ideas and creativity with his venture capital business Batshit Crazy Ventures. Bogusky also touches on the power of scientology, and why perfect creativity is very similar to unconditional love.
Says Ferrier: “If this release makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever then maybe you’ll enjoy the episode.”

Worth saying that was indeed a pretty wild ride.
“I had a hole I thought I could fill with awards and money”.
Totally cracking convo with one of my fave Adland folks.
Thanks to both (and Bogusky).
