Ben Baker creates Bushfire Awareness stills + motion campaign for CFS of South Australia

MERV’s Ben Baker has shot the latest campaign for the CFS of South Australia, which aims to build fire awareness in the local community.

The “Are You In A Bushfire Area” campaign was created by creative director Nick Brz and producer Judi Oehme of Nation, Adelaide.

Baker has shot powerful portraits of the heroic Country Fire Services (CFS) volunteers in a local fire station for print, online and social media platforms. These were created alongside motion portraits for TikTok to reach broader communities and a younger demographic.

After years of shooting real stories of and with the world’s most powerful in New York, he has returned to shoot powerful stories with fellow Australians. Baker is able to find and exhibit the individuality and humanity of each person and their unique moments, shaping a genuine connection that his audience can resonate with.
