Bear Meets Eagle on Fire scores three Silver Statues for Telstra; TBWA + Kwpx&partners score Bronze as next wave of LIA winners are revealed
Direct from the heart of the jury deliberations in Las Vegas, LIA has announced the Winners and Finalists in the Non-Traditional, TV & Cinema, Online Film, Design and Package Design categories. With the three juries comprised of esteemed industry leaders from around the world, they meticulously evaluated and debated entries on-site, ensuring a fair and comprehensive selection.
Bear Meets Eagle On Fire has picked up two Silver Statues in the LIA Design category for Telstra ‘Better On A Better Network‘.
TBWA\Melbourne has picked up a Bronze for Who Gives A Crap ‘Winnie-The-Pooh: The Deforested Edition‘.
The Design and Package Design Jury, led by Oskar Lübeck, Chief Creative Officer of Bold Stockholm, awarded 56 Statues: 1 Grand LIA, 8 Gold, 21 Silver, and 26 Bronze Statues, in addition to recognizing 19 Finalists. The Design category recognizes brilliance in visual identity, outstanding production values and the beautiful execution of craft to help brands connect with people. This year, Circus Grey, Lima won the Grand LIA for its remarkable campaign, “Sightwalks” crafted for UNACEM.
In the TV & Cinema category, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire picked up another Silver Statue for Telstra ‘Better On A Better Network”, “Making of’.
After completing their meticulous judging process, the TV & Cinema and Online Film jury, under the leadership of Marco Venturelli, Chief Creative Officer of Publicis France & CEO/CCO of Publicis Conseil, Paris, awarded 25 Statues: 1 Grand LIA, 8 Gold, 7 Silver, and 9 Bronze Statues in the TV & Cinema category. Additionally, 5 Finalists were awarded.
TV & Cinema honors films made for broadcast television or cinema that combines exemplary ideas and craft. In this category, the Jury awarded a TV & Cinema Grand LIA to Meta, Menlo Park for their captivating work for WhatsApp titled “We Are Ayenda”.
In the Online Film category Kwpx&partners Perth scored a Bronze Statue for Western Australian Police Union ‘Cop Enough‘.
Online Film lauds films released on digital platforms that successfully fuse brilliant ideas with impeccable execution. The Jury awarded an Online Film Grand LIA to Marcel, Paris for their remarkable work “WoMen’s Football”. The Jury awarded 19 Online Film Statues including 1 Grand, 3 Gold, 7 Silver, and 8 Bronze Statues. They also awarded 5 Finalists.
Says Barbara Levy, president of LIA, said of this year’s body of work: “The power of ideas was clearly demonstrated across these categories. The best work found a creative solution to a problem. Communicating creatively is the best way to get your message to land and have impact.”
