BBH USA snares Aussie expat Alex Booker from BBDO New York for Co-Head of Creative role
Aussie expat Alex Booker has left the Executive Creative Director gig at BBDO New York after a six year stint for the Co-Head of Creative role at BBH USA, teamed with Estefano Holz.
Booker joined BBDO New York in October 2019, after CD roles at MullenLowe US and a previous CD role at BBH New York.
Prior to moving to the US in 2015, Booker was a creative director at BMF Sydney from 2011 to 2015 and before that Senior Art Director at Mark / M&C Saatchi Sydney from 2007 to 2011. Booker started his career at Loud in 1999, before a year stint as an art director at George Patterson Y&R from mid 2004 to mid 2005.
Says Booker: “With so much momentum, it feels like the perfect time to return and help this incredible team shape the next chapter of BBH. The ‘zagging when others zig’ mentality has stuck with me for the last decade, and I can’t wait to lean into it even more.”
Over the years, Booker has worked on businesses ranging from Aldi in Australia to PlayStation, E*Trade, Tap King and more in the U.S. His portfolio of award-winning work includes Clios, D&AD Pencils, Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Effies and prominent regional festivals such as Spikes Asia, AdFest and AWARD.
