Bang Bang Studios wins Bronze for Toyota Australia ‘Breaking Point’ at 2022 Cresta Awards

Australian company Bang Bang Studios has made Cresta’s winners list with a Bronze for outstanding sound design for its work with Toyota Australia ‘Breaking Point‘ for the Paralympics at the 2022 Cresta Awards.

Serviceplan, the international network out of Germany, has triumphed as the runaway top performer, winning more than double the number of trophies collected by any other competitor. These include taking one of only five rare Grand Prix awarded. 

Against competitors from around the globe Serviceplan took 28 honours, with 72andSunny and Edelman in joint second on 13 awards.

Says Lewis Blackwell, CEO of Cresta: “This is a terrific performance by Serviceplan. And all the better that they won with a diverse range of work.”

The Wish, created for Penny, was Serviceplan’s single Grand Prix. The other GP went to Riff Raff Films (with two) and Impact BBDO Dubai, and TRY of Oslo  to take the remaining Grand Prix.

Blackwell added that this year’s competition had attracted a “new diversity” of entrants, with notable involvement from major clients. The UAE Government Media Office was a big winner, both for its own entries and as a client for Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai, while Tencent of China won for a range of work from its in-house creative teams. 

Horizon FCB and Leo Burnett Riyadh were also big winners, further showing the rising creative force that is the Middle East.

With its distinctive jury system – 120 creative experts working individually around the world – Cresta Awards has developed to be one of the most challenging honours for agencies, production companies and clients worldwide to win.
