Award winning Michael Glass appointed creative head for newrepublique
Announcing recent engagements by brands such as Coca Cola, City of Sydney, and University of Western Sydney, newrepublique, the ‘new generation storytellers’ for the digital age, have enlisted Michael Glass to its team as the creative head.
With over 8 years experience working in the digital advertising industry, Glass has worked at some of the most recognised agencies in the world, leading full creative teams and creating large scale integrated campaigns.
At M&C Saatchi, he was involved across an array of clients such as Optus, Westfield, Woolworths, Qantas and Sara Lee.
He was the lead digital creative responsible for the multi award winning Optus Whale Song, an integrated re-imagining of the Optus brand.
Says Nima Yassini from newrepublique: “Our challenge to date has been how we bring our new form of planning in digital to life creatively. Michael brings a type of skill and execution that will take our offering to clients to the next level, Michael has definitely joined newrepublique at an exciting time.”
Says Glass: “With the line between the physical and digital worlds continuing to blur, It is really exciting to be given creative freedom to redefine how people consume content. There is something truly special happening at newrepublique.”

“What douchebags say”… hahaha – Sooo cliche – With the line between the physical and digital worlds continuing to blur, It is really exciting to be given creative freedom to redefine how people consume content.
6.52, what a gutless, nasty thing to say. Blokes just been promoted to a senior position which is probably more than you’ll ever achieve. Why not just be happy for the guy? He’s a big unit, too, he’d probably snap your neck if if you said it to his face. And the fact that you put quotation marks on the wrong part of the sentence only proves you’re a moron.
MG is a great guy.
Haters gonna hate I guess.
Nice one Michael… great designer and well deserved.
6.52… wow, your creativity oozes from every word you write, literally oozes… like #@*!.
6:52 – Go into the bathroom right now, stand in front of the mirror for a few minutes then give yourself a sharp, swift slap to the side of your cheek for being a total nob head.
Don’t know this guy (article) from a bar of soap, but well done for taking that next step into a great new senior role.
When did our industry get so catty? No need to pull people down. Well done michael hope you do well. As for the person that wrote the first comment, im with you comment two guy – He is a douche bag!
What ever happened to congratulating someone for a promotion?
Criticism can come when/if he fails at the newly appointed role!
Give the guy a chance.
I think you’ll find he wasn’t the lead creative on Optus Whale Song, he was an Art Director on this job and it clearly wasn’t his idea….. http://www.bestadsontv.com/ad/20435/Optus-Whale-Song
But yeah congratulations for landing the role!
Nice work
It actually says ‘lead digital creative’ And, yes, he was. Anybody disputing that would be an idiot. To say that a guy who came up with all the digital ideas, designed all the assets and, with one developer built the entire thing, wasn’t the lead creative.
And M&C/Mark hasn’t done anything of its caliber since he left.
i mean c’mon, the guy has 3 FWA sites at three different agencies. Mark just has the one the he did.
