Australian tech company Cuttable launches in the U.S. with new campaign via Sunday Gravy

Australian ad-tech innovator Cuttable has officially launched in the United States with what it calls “the biggest giveaway in advertising history” – offering 3.1 billion free video ads to U.S. eCommerce brands ahead of Black Friday.

 

Built in Melbourne and now backed by $10 million (AUD) in seed funding led by Square Peg and Rampersand, Cuttable is the world’s first fully-automated AI creative agency – turning brand assets into high-performance ads for Meta’s platforms in minutes.

To mark the milestone, Cuttable hit the streets of Los Angeles with an Aussie-made guerrilla campaign conceived and produced by Sunday Gravy – the independent creative agency behind the brand’s global creative platform.


The team flew to LA to direct, script and film the launch film – featuring Cuttable Head of Marketing Sam Ayre armed with a megaphone, driving an all-American muscle car convertible through the Hollywood Hills, slipping flyers into celebrity letterboxes and hand-delivering “Your Ads Are Ready” posters across the city.

“We didn’t want a traditional tech launch,” says Ant White, Chief Creative Officer at Sunday Gravy and CreativePartner, Cuttable. “We wanted to let people see behind the curtain a bit more – more raw, a little desperate, a bit cheeky, and unmistakably Australian.”


The result: a bold, tongue-in-cheek campaign that distils Cuttable’s ethos – bold ideas, easy to use tech and creativity that scales.

“We’ve built Cuttable for growing brands – the eCommerce brands moving fast and thinking smart,” says Ayre. “So, our U.S. debut had to match that spirit. We figured, why run ads, when we could hand them out like Oprah?”


Cuttable’s founder Sam Kroonenberg – fresh from a US $2 billion exit from A Cloud Guru – says the platform is designed to democratise great creative: “Every business deserves good advertising, but most don’t have the time or budget. Cuttable fixes that, no back and forth, no briefs, no waiting.”


The campaign’s timing is just weeks before America’s biggest online shopping season, positions Cuttable as the ultimate creative accelerator for brands on Shopify and Meta.
