Aussie expats from Leo Burnett New York’s off-Broadway show ‘8 Million Protagonists’ to donate ticket proceeds to ‘superstorm’ charity
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s damage to the east coast, Leo Burnett New York announced a revised schedule for its off-Broadway show, 8 Million Protagonists. The show will now premiere today, Nov. 8, and all proceeds from the production will be donated to Save the Children’s Hurricane Sandy Children in Emergency Fund, which provides basic necessities, such as nutritious food items, baby blankets, clothing and hygiene supplies to people in the hardest-hit areas of New Jersey and New York. The charity ensures children’s needs are addressed in the aftermath of the ‘superstorm.’
8 Million Protagonists is a crowdsourced play with its plot driven by NewYorkWritesItself.com (NYWI), and Aussie expats Michael Canning and Kieren Antill, executive creative directors for Leo Burnett New York, where New Yorkers share their unique stories witnessed on the streets of New York City.
Produced by Leo Burnett New York in partnership with The Village Voice, 8 Million Protagonists takes viewers through a day in New York City as lived by the people of New York. Along the journey you’ll meet a variety of weird and wonderful characters that make New York so special.
