Aussie expat Karl Dunn takes creative director role on Nissan at TBWA\Chiat\Day, Los Angeles
Aussie expat Karl Dunn, most recently creative director at BSUR, Amsterdam working on the worldwide Mini account, has joined TBWA\Chiat\Day, Los Angeles as a creative director on the Nissan brand.
Dunn is a writer-based CD with 18 years experience in the ad field. Prior to this new position, he has freelanced for eight years for various agencies globally, most notably for Plantage Berlin where he pitched, won, then ran the MINI account for Germany before going on to BSUR Amsterdam to work as a CD on MINI Global.
In addition, he’s worked extensively in the branded entertainment arena creating content for CW, OWN, Discovery, The Hub network launch and Lux China.
Originally from Australia, Dunn had a group head role at FCB Sydney in the early 90s followed by stints in Singapore at BBH from 1996 to 1998 and Leo Burnett from 2001 to 2003.
