Aussie expat Damian Fitzgerald departs Goodby for CD role at The Brooklyn Brothers, London

DAMIAN-FITZGERALD-SMALL.jpgAward Winning Aussie expat writer Damian Fitzgerald has moved from San Francisco’s Goodby Silverstein & Partners to join The Brooklyn Brothers in London as creative director.

Fitzgerald will report to executive creative director Ali Alvarez and will work across the The Brooklyn Brothers’ client portfolio including Jaguar Land Rover, Sky and Tate.

Fitzgerald joined Goodby’s in January 2011 and won Gold and Silver at One Show Interactive for the Chevy Sonic launch campaign. He previously worked at The Monkeys in Sydney and has worked on brands such as BBC Knowledge, Foxtel and Telstra and has also written and performed comedy for TV and radio across the globe.

Says Alvarez: “It’s taken a long time to find a writer who has the perfect ratio of funny to smart to innovative to all around awesomeness. We bagged a good one”.

The Brooklyn Brothers is an independent creative agency and was founded in London in 2008 by George Bryant, Jackie Stevenson & David Watson. Clients include JLR (working across Jaguar, Range Rover and Land Rover) Sky, Tate, Virgin Active and Iceland Tourism. The Brooklyn Brothers was named European Effectiveness Agency of the Year 2011 and most recently picked up a Gold Lion at Cannes for their ‘Inspired by Iceland’ Campaign.
