Assisterhood expands and announces new Queensland leads and workshop series

Successful industry mentoring program Assisterhood has announced the appointment of new Queensland leads, Isabelle Debnam of Orange Digital, and Liz Ballantyne of Guide Dogs QLD, and the hosts of the Your Marketing Mates podcast.

The duo brings a wealth of brand and marketing experience to the Assisterhood team and will drive a series of workshop and panel events covering career planning, personal branding, and mentorship in the advertising, marketing, and communications space.

Says Debnam: “We’re incredibly passionate about mentorship, which was the drive behind starting our podcast, and we’re thrilled that our Assisterhood partnership helps us amplify this passion.”

Says Linh Diep, co-founder, Assisterhood: “Isabelle and Liz are the perfect duo and embody Assisterhood’s values in community and mentoring. As we look to expand Assisterhood south to Victoria and New South Wales, we know what we’ve built in Queensland is in safe hands as we take this next leap!”

The first hybrid workshop event ‘Navigating Your Career’ kicked off with great success, with an experienced panel of guests from Women in Digital/Hunt & Co., real-life networking, and over 70 virtual attendees.

Assisterhood’s second workshop, ‘Money, Money, Money’ is scheduled for Tuesday 19th October, exploring all things finance in the marketing and communications industry: pay rises, super, investing, tax – even crypto.

Leading tech agency Alpha Digital is sponsoring the workshop series, while market research company Askable is generously hosting them.

Ballantyne and Debnam join a star-studded Assisterhood squad that includes Linh Diep (The Special Group), Polina Shilenina (Publicis Worldwide), Clare Farrugia (Ultra Violette), Vanessa Pham (Arc Worldwide), Indy Lynch (Sonder), Leticia Jenkins (Paramount Pictures), and Anais Read (Publicis Worldwide).
