APAC Effie Awards names Visa’s Danielle Jin as 2026 Chairperson
Danielle Jin, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Visa Asia-Pacific has been appointed by Effie Asia-Pacific to chair the 2026 season of the competition in awarding and showcasing effectiveness in the Asia-Pacific region.
As the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President for Visa in the Asia-Pacific region, she oversees brand and marketing strategies across B2C, B2B and Marketing Services in the payment ecosystem. Jin has led transformative initiatives that strengthened Visa’s brand leadership in the region, deepened engagement with consumers, and accelerated digital innovation.
Under her leadership, Visa has deepened its cultural and lifestyle presence, forging meaningful connections with the next generation of consumers. She has strengthened Visa’s reputation as a trusted payments leader, delivering measurable business growth through innovative regional and cross-border campaigns powered by emerging technologies and data-driven insights. Jin is a familiar face at the APAC Effies, having served as both Head of Jury and juror in previous editions of the competition.
Prior to leading Asia-Pacific’s marketing team, Jin was Head of Marketing for Visa in Greater China, where she supported business growth in Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan. Before her 9 years at Visa, she was Vice President and CMO of the Beverage Category at PepsiCo Greater China, leading growth strategy and their marketing and innovation agenda. She has been on Campaign Asia-Pacific’s Marketing Power list since 2021 and guest lectures on Strategy and Marketing.

The APAC Effie Awards are recognised globally as the gold-standard for marketing effectiveness, awarding only campaigns which have generated results for clients and brands. The competition’s Call for Entry will begin on 12 December.
