Anytime Fitness welcomes anybody to the gym in new ‘Find Your Fit’ campaign via The Hallway
Anytime Fitness Australia and independent full-service agency The Hallway have launched the first creative campaign of their new partnership following a competitive pitch in April 2023.
Research shows that twice as many Australians feel they don’t belong in fitness clubs than feel they do. ‘Find your fit’ seeks to undo this misconception that is holding so many people back from achieving their fitness goals. Through the lens of a day in the life of the 24-hour gym, the films – directed by Paul Middleditch at Plaza Films – introduce the full gamut of diverse members of the Anytime Fitness community with a tongue-in-cheek reverence that makes heroes of them all.
The campaign rolls out through a suite of film executions, OOH, social and display. As Anytime Fitness’ creative and media agency of record, The Hallway was responsible for all creative and media components of the campaign.
Says Caitlin Bancroft, CMO, Anytime Fitness: “Our ambition is to be Australia’s most welcoming gym, open to anybody regardless of where they’re up to on their fitness journey. Through ‘Find your fit’, we’re celebrating gym goers in all their forms in a fun way that puts inclusion at the heart of our brand.”
Says Simon Lee, CCO, The Hallway: “One of the greatest pleasures of creating this campaign was working closely with Anytime Fitness Franchisees to get first-hand insight into the wonderful variety of people that frequent their gyms. We’ve allowed ourselves a little creative licence, but all the character types you see in the “Find your Fit” films are based very much on real gym goers. The message is clear, simple, and inclusive: whoever you are, you will find your fit at Anytime Fitness.”

LOL
Love the scripts.
Great work Paul
Can creatives please stop photocopying off ‘Find your X’ concepts.
This is like a satirical sketch sending up a complete and utter lack of originality in advertising. The slightly whispered manifesto VO, the overused trope of ‘Find Your ___’, heck they even used Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy…
You have got to be kidding me.
at its best.
It’s quality work. Easy to see the messaging points it needed to hit. My question, and it’s not bashing anyone, (Mediocrity you’re a loser), is more about context – do people who aren’t comfortable in gyms like seeing themselves reflected in this comical way? Does satire resonate with viewers trying to be converted?
Struggling with the tone of this. Strategically it looks like it’s supposed to be an empowering campaign for people who wouldn’t usually feel comfortable in a gym. But the whole observational writing and under-the-breath VO feels like it’s laughing at, not with, the subjects.
Feels like a pisstake of casual gym goers vs a strategically sound way to sign new members. Literally shows all the people and reasons why I wouldn’t want to train there. Kinda funny but maybe it does more harm than good for the brand?
This has not convinced me to go back to a gym.
I’ll stay at home in front of my YouTube workout channel thanks.
