Animal welfare group Oscar’s Law aims to break the puppy trade with campaign via Sideways
Puppy farms create a massive over-supply of puppies in our pet shops, particularly in the lead up to Christmas. Puppy farms are severely under-regulated in Australia with dogs allowed to live in horrendous conditions while also suffering from severe psychological and physical conditions. Not many people know that 95% of pet shops get their puppies from puppy farms.
With help from a loyal online community of supporters, this campaign for Oscar’s Law, created by Sideways, Adelaide, aims to stop impulse purchases of companion animals in pet shops and break the puppy trade during its most profitable time of the year.

It should be shown on TV
Strong hardball approach but handled with sensitivity. Gave me goosebumps.
How the f@ck do people not know about this? Very nicely done, I just hope it makes it to TV too.
It must go on TV. These cunts need to be outed. Then killed.
Agree. These ruthless puppy farmers are not interested in the physical and mental health of puppies, they are only concerned with money. Pet shops are complicit in this cruel activity.
There are plenty of dogs needing a home at the RSPCA. Alternatively, buy your puppy from a licensed, ethical breeder.
Great work to everyone involved.
Nicely done. Go Tv will be a good optionss. Bottom line is its message should be out there massively.
