Andy Smith resigns from BMF
Andy Smith, technical director of BMF has resigned from the agency after 16 months. He was hired in December 2009 to work alongside digital planning director, Aaron Michie to help expand and deepen the role of technology in putting digital at the heart of everything BMF does.
He joined from the BBC where he was one of the principal technologists behind BBC iPlayer – the phenomenally successful online TV catch-up service, with an audience of over a million unique daily viewers.
Previously, Smith spent six years leading MTV’s European web development group creating innovative social media applications for over 100 websites in 11 languages.
