Alzheimer’s Australia hope to make a difference in new campaign via Interbrand

Interband Australia has created a television commercial for Alzheimer’s Australia which has just gone to air.
The spot was written and directed by Chris Maclean and Chris Doyle and shot on a Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR.

I liked it. It’s not genius, but then neither are the public.
Settle down 5:10, it was a joke…..
I think his point is that this ad is mindless crap, and that Interbrand have wasted a massive opportunity.
When good creatives say ‘it’s what you leave out that counts,’ they don’t mean the idea.
Communicates the message clearly which is the most important thing. There is some really beautiful imagery, but I think the script pace is a bit too fast to make an emotional impact.
