alt/shift/ appoints industry leader Katie Raleigh as Sydney Managing Director

Independent creative communications agency alt/shift/ has appointed industry leader Katie Raleigh as Managing Director of its Sydney office, strengthening its national footprint and positioning the agency for its next phase of growth.
Raleigh (pictured above) joins alt/shift/ after more than seven years at Poem, where she rose from Group Account Director, Head of Studio to Managing Director, and helped steer the agency through a period of significant expansion. Prior to Poem, Raleigh held roles at Samsung Electronics and One Green Bean, working with leading global and local brands across consumer, entertainment, tech and lifestyle.
As Managing Director, Raleigh will oversee the Sydney office’s portfolio and work across the agency’s national offering to drive the business into the future.
Says Raleigh: “When I looked at what alt/shift/ has achieved in less than a decade – three offices nationwide, bold new services, and an exciting pipeline of work – it was clear this was where I wanted to be.
“I’ve long admired alt/shift/ for its fearless, behaviourally informed earned approach. Leading the Sydney team at such a pivotal moment was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I’m ready to dive in, champion fresh thinking, and build an agency that creates both cultural and commercial impact.”
Elly Hewitt (pictured below left), alt/shift/ Co-founder and National CEO, says the appointment is a significant milestone for the agency: “Katie’s reputation speaks for itself. She’s a brilliant operator with the vision, drive and creative smarts to lead our Sydney office into an exciting new chapter.
“Katie’s known for delivering modern, culture-led work that earns real impact. I’m delighted that we could attract talent of her calibre to help us further develop our integrated offering. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Katie as a Shifty.”

In addition to Raleigh’s appointment, alt/shift/ also welcomes back Conor Nastasi, who returns to the agency’s Sydney team as an Account Director. Nastasi re-joins alt/shift/ after honing his expertise as a PR and Communications Specialist at Cancer Council NSW over the past year.
Says Nastasi: “I loved my time at Cancer Council but found myself ready for a new challenge and excited by the agency’s direction, as well as the growth ambitions Katie has for the Sydney office.”
The appointments build on a period of momentum for alt/shift/, following the recent promotion of four senior team members to newly created Practice Head roles, and a string of new business wins across consumer, corporate and government portfolios. alt/shift/ clients span a bunch of legendary brands including Boost, Officeworks, Ausbuild, Intrepid Travel, Mick Fanning Foundation, 99 Bikes, Dylan Alcott Foundation, Therabody and Y Careers.
