Aislinn Andrews Fundraiser: Melbourne, Oct 6
In the last three and a half years since Melbourne copywriter Aislinn Andrews began her journey with cancer, she has successfully outwitted it twice. Aislinn is currently facing a critical stage in her path but unfortunately after not being able to work for a couple of years and treatment bills of around $1,000 a week Aislinn needs some help in raising some funds for her survival.
On Tuesday October 6, between 6 and 8pm there will be a silent art auction at the Helen Gory Galerie in Prahran. The night itself however will be far from quiet – there will be music, raffles, food and drink available.
The night will be short, sweet and fun. The funds raised will godirectly through the Aislinn Andrews foundation for Aislinn’s immediatesurvival.
The fundraislinn.com websitewill soon be launched for those who are not able to attend, with theoption of bidding online until the evening of the auction.
You can find out more about how Aislinn is going and her history with cancer at her blog theyoungandthebreastless.com.au
If you want to assist, please donate an artwork which will help raise funds, or join in the bidding. Or both.
Everyone will be a winner – but mostly Aislinn – pictured above withDonna Stevens (left) and the Hoff at The Stokehouse in 2005.
Thanks for your help …..

Anyone who’s met Aislinn will know she’s a really nice person who wouldn’t ask for help if she had another option. According to her blog, her doctor gave her six months to live two months ago, so time is ticking.
I challenge you to read this post on her blog http://www.theyoungandthebreastless.com.au/?p=20 and not feel bad about any money your agency has ever spent on making a charity ad just to enter into an award show.
I guess now is our chance to actually help someone directly so hopefully there is a big show of support from the industry for this Fundraiser. Aislinn deserves all the help we can give her.
Ais your blog is truly inspirational. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.
I’m on the art raising/fundraising case

All my love and support to you Aislinn – I’ll be bidding my heart out. Thanks for sharing your story – you are truly inspiring and it has helped put my own life into perspective.
Wow, I’m shocked to hear this but very glad that everyone is working together to help Ais out. If you could possibly post this on the WA website, I’m sure that people who worked with her there would appreciate knowing what she’s is going through and being given the chance to do something to help pull her through this. Kick ass Aislinn!
I remember Aislinn from the RMB Radio Writers Workshop at the Cumberland in Marysville in 1999. The RMB isn’t around anymore, the Cumberland burned down on Black Saturday, and I’ll be buggered if I’m going to sit back and watch her go too. I’ll be there. x
