After five years Bullfrog Executive Creative Director Dan Sparkes set to depart

After five years at Bullfrog, Executive Creative Director Dan Sparkes will be wrapping up his time at the agency next week.

Since joining Bullfrog, Sparkes has played a key role in shaping the agency’s creative direction while also mentoring the next generation of talent through AWARD School and industry speaking engagements. His career spans top agencies, including CHEP, BWM, DDB, and Leo Burnett, where he worked with major brands such as Samsung, Honda, Mars Petcare, ANZ, and Tourism South Australia. His work has been recognised at Cannes, D&AD, SXSW, One Show and The Webbys.

Beyond traditional advertising, Sparkes has left his mark on everything from launching gaming consoles to interrogating dogs for confessions. He even started his own social media trend, Pillaring, and co-founded an anti-cyberbullying start-up. His passion for creative innovation has made him a respected leader and an in-demand judge for local award shows.

Announcing his departure on LinkedIn, Sparks said: “After five years of guiding Bullfrog from a 4-person start-up to being recognised as Victorian and Independent Agency of the Year, it’s time for me to find the next thing that sets my soul on fire.”

As he looks ahead to his next opportunity, he is available for freelance work in the meantime.
