What?????? Where are you 180?
Fear the montage, Nike.
Fucking hell, these sports ads are so frigging derivative.
Bored shitless by everyone of ’em.
Epic budget. Small idea.
One long, big, boring cliche. Adidud.
Ideas? All out.
An idea would have cost less…..
write the past
I’ve seen better pitch mood reals.
This is inspired.
Fuck your ad talk ‘big ideas’ bullshit. Big budget aside, this talks with insight hence honesty. Yes it’s been done before however it’s done very well.
Most importantly, it works.
Sorry Mr. Adidas Marketing Manager (12.04) this doesn’t talk with insight or honesty, because honestly if you weren’t paying these stars $$$$$ then Nike or someone else would.
One other thing, why is Katie Perry rocking out to a Justice track? The spot’s so lame it would have made more sense to have everyone dancing to I Kissed a Girl.
So boring and over-branded
its better than than coke ad
What a piece of shit. It looks like it was written by the client. No idea. No insight. Nothing! What I can’t comprehend is what’s the between connection Lionel Messi, playing on national Argentinian colours with Katy Perry shaking her pretty ass on a dance studio and BMX’ers? There’s no differentiation between athletic/sport performance and street/lifestyle anymore. And that line? It’s all in? No shit, you crammed ‘all in’ into one long, boring montage of nothingness. What the fuck? adidas has the lost the plot completely. I worked for this client here in Australia and they are the most vacuous, insight-less people I ever had the displeasure to work with.
12:04 you’re a dick. ‘Most importantly, it works’. Works for who? For you? Do you have results so quickly? Come on, post them. Or do you work at the agency that ‘localized’ this.
Shithouse. Absolutely shithouse.
adidas has always had a bit of a challenge, because they differentiate their business between sports performance, and originals/streetwear.
They’ve always kept them apart because they’re completely different beasts.
Now they’ve tried to bring them together, and they don’t fit, and that’s why this commercial (fucking mood reel more like) is such a dog’s breakfast.
Says nothing. Means nothing. No coherency. People who love sport will wonder why all the girly dance chicks and rappers and shit are in there. People who are heavily into fashion/originals couldn’t give two shits about the hard realities of sport, or people like Lionel Messi.
For about a year, adidas looked like they could do this properly. Now they’ve just handed complete sports-marketing dominance back to Nike.
Inspired????? Oh sweet jesus. You have no fucking idea mate.
Fail with a big budget and no idea. Adidas is still for hogans!
Fucked off over Katie joining in too… is she a bogan?
Must be.
Awesome. Adidas FTW!!
Saw it on youtube this morning. Liked it. Think it’s got loads of attitude. If i saw this on a cinema screen or at home with better sound, then i’d probably want to get out of my chair, dust off my skateboard and go out and break both legs. Damn legs, they’re not as fresh as they used to be.
Sick of sports ads that try to look like a doco. Its been done a million times and by much better filmmakers than this guy. You can pretty much name where every single shot is ripped off from. BMXing? Katie Perry? Fireworks? Seriously?
Why oh why cant creatives and directors come up with something original?
It is a nice looking piece of film. Perfect for Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Puma or Fila.
Would much rather have seen Messi for 2 mins, or an idea. I’ve always been a loyal adidas follower because they owned football. Why water that down??
you gotta admit it’s a pretty good mood reel.
this is more my speed. different take on sports advertising

I couldn’t wait for it to end. Dross.
yeah i started to toggle through it
7:10 AAAhhahahahaahaha you are obviously from Naked. Spend your time making something good rather than pushing your failures here.
Feel like ive seen this adidas ad a million times made by a million other people.
“Adidas is for basketball, and soccer, and rappers, and bike people, and people who aren’t very active but like to sing, and gay people. Adidas is for everyone. Adidas is vanilla. Buy Adidas and you can be like [insert famous person here].”
Sounds like the right brand position to sell shoes, hoodies, and tees to the gigantic mass of suburban white kids in the US who want to look like they do all those things, without actually doing any of them.
Fail.
